Virtual Roundtable: Threat Intelligence – The Dark Net and the Wider Internet (Online AEST)
At this cyber virtual roundtable, we’ll examine how organisations can monitor the dark web and the internet to improve their threat intelligence, how to interpret the risks and how to prepare a response.
Our special guest is Trevor Cushen, Head of Information Security at BPAY Group.
Our last roundtable on Dark Net Threat Intelligence (17 July) was fully booked in two days.
As with all StrategyMix roundtables, you will get the most value from the open discussion with your peers – CISOs and senior cyber security managers. For this reason, there will be no PowerPoints or formal presentations.
The conversation is likely to focus on 4 key objectives:
1. Understanding the risks – The state of play: Australian businesses are being targeted and held to ransom over threats to leak data to the dark web. The impact is technical, it is financial, and it is reputational.
2. Dark Net Alerts – What monitoring of the dark net is possible? Can you receive alerts if any of your sensitive information, such as breached data or your customer’s personal information appears on the dark net?
3. Broad-based monitoring – Aside from the dark web, what social media and other internet repositories should you be monitoring?
4. The Kill Chain Cycle – Understanding the steps involved in an attack, from early recon to data exfiltration. What are the most commons flaws, how do threat actors exploit them and how do you minimize your risks?
To ensure an open, single conversation where you learn from the experience of others in a collaborative environment, there are only 8 delegate places available. The roundtable will be co-facilitated by Kurt Hansen, CEO of Pure Security.
How to Register
If you would like to join the discussion, please note that your company name will be shared with other delegates and potential delegates. This is to help us create the most useful discussion possible.
