Round-Table: Defending against sophisticated email-based cyber attacks (Melbourne)
The purpose of this event will be to explore how organisations can best protect themselves from an array of increasingly sophisticated and frequent email-based cyber attacks – difficult to defend, because they focus on your people, rather than your IT infrastructure.
As with all our round-tables, you will get the most value from the open discussion with your peers – senior IT and security executives. For this reason, there will be no PowerPoints or formal presentations.
Key topics will include, but are not limited to:
> How to protect against advanced phishing attacks based on closely mimicked domains, which rely on a users’ brain to unconsciously substitute letters
> How to educate your employees to identify modern social engineering attack techniques and embed a culture of security awareness within your organisation
> How to identify which employees are being highly targeted, particularly via cloud-based applications such as Office365
To ensure an open, single conversation where you learn from the experience of others in a collaborative environment, there are only 14 places available.
It’s all about the discussion
If you would like to join the discussion, then you can register now. Please note that if you do register, then your company name will be shared with other delegates and potential delegates. This is to help us create the most useful discussion possible.
Why join the CyberGroup?
At the end of many of our round-tables, someone will often say “This was really useful, how can we continue the conversation?”. The CyberGroup was created to answer this question and enable our delegates to not only continue the conversation online via our Slack channels, but also discuss other highly topical and emerging cyber issues with cyber security professionals from all across ANZ.
