Round-Table: Cloud Security (Melbourne)
At this event, you will get the most value from the open discussion with your peers – other CIOs, and senior IT / Cyber Security Managers. For this reason, there will be no PowerPoint or formal presentations.
Despite the amount of attention on the problem, cloud security continues to be a major issue and persists in posing threats to data security. In the SANS Institute 2019 Cloud Security Survey, 31% of organisations reported unauthorised access by outsiders into cloud environments or cloud assets, up from 19% in 2017.
Our special guest at this Round-table is Damien McCormack, CIO at Vision Australia.
The session will be facilitated by Tom Allan and Anthony Collings of Basis Networks. The role of the facilitators is to guide the conversation in what ever direction is of most interest to the group.
Key topics to be covered at the lunch are likely to include:
> Popular cloud applications – such as Office 365 and how to keep them as secure as possible
> How to blend cloud convenience and productivity with the need to monitor and protect sensitive client data in the cloud
> And a range of topical cloud security issues, such as: public cloud security, compliance obligations, securing your SaaS applications, and enabling a flexible workforce.
To determine what is of most interest to the group, we have included a short questionnaire on our registration form. As you register, please indicate what is of most interest to you.
To ensure a robust, single conversation where you learn from others how to improve the protection of sensitive data in the cloud, there are only 12 places available.
It’s all about the discussion
