DevSecOps Roundtable

This roundtable is being facilitated by two industry gurus – Matt Flannery the founder of DevSecOps Sydney and the Principal DevSecOps Advisor to Service NSW and Prakash Sethuraman, the CISO of CloudBees.

The purpose of this event is to explore, in a collaborative environment, how organisations can more quickly adopt new tools and a DevSecOps Best Practice Culture to accelerate application development, with less security risk and more predictable timelines.

By attending this session, you will have the opportunity to bring to the table whatever DevSecOps issues or questions matter most to you, so you can benefit from the combined wisdom and expertise of our two facilitators and your peers.

  • While the questions and topics to be covered in the roundtable will be determined by the group, good examples of the kind of questions, we might expect to cover include:
  • How to put systems in place to detect and mitigate problems, practice failure on a regular basis, and automate as much of the SDLC as possible
  • How to implement observability platforms that support cross-departmental processes to ensure all teams have the information necessary to minimize risk
  • How to couple AI with automation to streamline and scale decision-making and offset much of the manual labour currently used to complete everyday processes
  • Using SBOMs and additional tools, such as software composition analysis and code signing, to improve the development of a more complete, well-managed, and secure software supply chain
  • How to go beyond just securing the code you’re developing to also secure the pipeline that delivers that code.
